Inclusive Wellness Alliance - Liberia reached an important institutional milestone with its formal incorporation in May 2025.
The registration process was completed through relevant public institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Liberia Business Registry.
This transition from community-based initiative to formally incorporated nonprofit strengthens governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
It also positions IWA to engage more effectively with development partners, philanthropic institutions, and technical collaborators.
As the organization expands county-level engagement, formal status helps accelerate partnerships needed to improve inclusive health, education, and social support services.
IWA remains committed to its core mission: advocating for rights, inclusion, and holistic well-being for persons with Down syndrome across Liberia.
