Inclusive Wellness Alliance - Liberia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the dignity, inclusion, and holistic well-being of persons with Down syndrome across Liberia.
Inclusive Wellness Alliance - Liberia began in May 2022 as a community-based organization founded by passionate advocates to address the overlooked needs of persons living with Down syndrome.
From the start, IWA focused on confronting stigma and social exclusion while promoting dignity, inclusion, and equitable access to health and social services for affected individuals and their families.
As outreach expanded, IWA built partnerships with local communities, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups. This growth culminated in formal incorporation in May 2025, officially registered through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Liberia Business Registry.
Today, IWA continues to champion the rights and well-being of persons with Down syndrome across all fifteen counties of Liberia through advocacy, awareness, and direct support.
Our long-term vision includes the IWA-Liberia Village Initiative in Montserrado County, an inclusive center designed to integrate education, healthcare, recreation, temporary care, and livelihood opportunities in one safe and empowering environment.
