2022

Community-Based Launch

IWA-Liberia began operations in May 2022 to address the unmet needs of persons with Down syndrome.

2023

Thematic Programs Structured

The organization aligned work under six thematic areas spanning health, inclusion, advocacy, and research.

2024

Partnership Growth

IWA expanded collaboration with communities, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations.

2025

Formal Incorporation

IWA became formally incorporated and registered with relevant Liberian public institutions in May 2025.

2025

Board Strengthening

A three-member board reinforced governance, accountability, and long-term strategy execution.

2026

Village Initiative Mobilization

IWA launched partnership outreach for the proposed 5-acre IWA-Liberia Village in Mont Barclay.
