Volunteer Opportunity

Event Volunteer

Help make our events successful by assisting with setup, registration, activities, and cleanup.

Varies by event (typically 3-8 hours per event)
Various venues across Monrovia and county hubs

About This Role

Event Volunteers are essential to our fundraisers, awareness events, and community gatherings. Whether it's our annual walk, World Down Syndrome Day celebration, or monthly family events, volunteers help create welcoming, organized, and joyful experiences for our community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and decoration
  • Staff registration tables
  • Guide attendees and answer questions
  • Lead or assist with activities
  • Help with cleanup and teardown
  • Represent IWA positively to attendees

Requirements

  • Age 16 or older (14+ with parent)
  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Comfortable working in groups
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
