As part of IWA-Liberia's long-term development strategy, the IWA-Liberia Village Initiative is designed to establish a comprehensive, integrated, and sustainable center of excellence for persons with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Planned on approximately five acres in Mont Barclay, Montserrado County, and inspired by the Debora Foundation model in Ethiopia, the village will integrate inclusive education, healthcare and therapy, recreation and wellness, guest accommodation, temporary residential care, and livelihood spaces for vocational and income-generating activities.
